We believe that the following issues should be prioritized:

  • All children and young people are entitled to a childhood free from drugs. Adults are entitled to a drug-free workplace. Everyone is entitled to a drug-free traffic and drug-free public places. Prevention and early intervention in school, in the neighbourhood, at work and in traffic, and drug policy the main question.
  • Maintain the ban on hard/illicit drugs and UN drug conventions.
  • Improved care and treatment.
  • Faster and more efficient classification of new drugs.

The IDDRAP adheres to Article 33 of the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child that states:

  • States Parties shall take all appropriate measures, including legislative, administrative, social and educational measures, to protect children from the illicit use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances as defined in the relevant international treaties, and to prevent the use of children in the illicit production and trafficking of such substances.
